The United States would support Greece and Turkey with economic and military aid so they wouldn't fall into communism. Turkey received $100 million in economic and military aid, and Greece received $400 million.

Their biggest goal, to start an uprising, was a failure.Confidence in the government was ruined, since the offensive showed that even with American support, the government couldn't protect the citizens.
