    Dates of when the story takes place is not given. After having a conference with his teacher, Junior descides to move to Reardan to pursue his dream to get out of the reservation.This causes frustration,hate, and anger between him and his fellow tribal.

    Junior is unable to fit in with his students and teachers at Reardan. Junior gets into a fight with one of the students and gains a sense of confidence and realtiy of the people around him. He also creates a love interest with one of his peers named Penelope, and befriends a kid named Gordy

It turns out Junior's grandmother knew Bilonaire Ted. Soon enough, Eugene, Junior's dad's bestfriend, was killed at a 7-eleven parking lot over who would drink the last of the bottle of wine.

Junior was told to gaurd Rowdy, who was the best person on the Wellpinit team. Junior was able to stop Rowdy by blocking him his first shot which determined the rest of the game. Reardan swept Wellpinit. Junior questioned his fate after his mother and sister's death. Junior realized how alcohol was the true killer in the reservation.
