  • Munich Olympics

    Munich Olympics
    The Munich Massacre was a terrorist attack during the 1972 Olympic Games. It happened in West Germany. Eight Palestinian terrorists killed two members of the Israeli Olympic team and then took nine others hostage. The situation was ended by a huge gunfight that left five of the terrorists and all of the nine hostages dead.
  • Statue of Liberty Bombing

    Statue of Liberty Bombing
    A delayed bomb went off in the Statue Of Liberty's story room making 18,000 dollars worth of damage. Since it was closed by then nobody was in there or got injured. Though not proven its believed that it was Croatian terrorists seeking independence for Croatia from Yugoslavia.
  • Beirut

    Beirut
    The Bombing of U.S. Embassy in Beirut was done by a suicide bomber who was in a pickup truck loaded with explosives that rammed into the ship.Sixty-three people were killed, including 17 Americans. Reagan administration officials said that the attack was carried out by Hezbollah operatives, a Lebanese military Islamic group whose anti-U.S. sentiments were ignited by the revolution in Iran.
  • World Trade Center Garage Bomb

    World Trade Center Garage Bomb
    A bomb exploded in the garage of the World Trade Center in New York City. It killed 6 and injured at least 1040 people. In 1995, militant Islamist Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman and 9 others were convicted of conspiracy charges, and in 1998, Ramzi Yousef, believed to have been the mastermind, was convicted of the bombing. Al-Qaeda involvement is suspected.
  • Tokyo Gas Attack

    During rush hour in the Tokyo, Japan subway, 5 Aum Shinrikyo group members released Sarin gas. They did it because the did not agree with the way the Japanese government worked.12 died and 5,500 needed medical treatment.
  • Oklahoma City Bombing

    Oklahoma City Bombing
    A car bomb exploded outside federal office building, collapsing wall and floors. 168 people were killed and 220 buildings damaged. Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols later convicted in the anti government plot to avenge the Branch Davidian standoff in Waco, Texas, exactly 2 years earlier.
  • 9/11

    9/11
    Terroists from Al Queda hijacked four airplanes and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Thousands of US citizens and all of the hijackers were killed. Al Queda felt threatened by our military system and government which is part of their motives for the attack.
  • Spain Commuter Train Bombing

    Spain Commuter Train Bombing
    4 bombs go off on the commuter trains in spain killing 201 and injuring 1,400. Al Queda is suspected to be behind it because of the Spanish troops in Iraq. Shortly after Spain's government removes troops.
  • Fallujah Suicide Bombing

    Fallujah Suicide Bombing
    An Iraqian suicide bomber targets citizens and policemen on the high way. He was driving a car full of explosives and detonated a bomb right near the police officers vehicle. They think the motive was to prove that Iraqis can conduct their own acts of terror. Police were quick to evacuate the scene so there wasn't much damage.
  • Little Rock Arkansas

    Little Rock Arkansas
    Abdulhakim Muhammad, a Muslim convert from Memphis, Tennessee, shoots two soilders outside an army base in Arkansas. With one killed and the other wounded, he claimed that he was working with Al Queda and it was a jihadi attack "to fight those who wage war on Islam and Muslims."
  • Pakistan Car Bomb

    Pakistan Car Bomb
    A crazy car bomb in Pakistan killed 12 and wounded 60. They linked the bombing to Al Queda taliban militants. It targeted the office of an intelligence agency in the posh Model Town residential area where reportedly high-value suspected militants are brought for interrogation.
  • Boston Marathon Bombing

    Boston Marathon Bombing
    Multiple bombs go off as runners cross the finish line in the Boston Marathon Bombing. 3 were killed and many were injured. There was about a week long chase to catch the two brother bombers where one ended up dead in a shoot out. The other brother was caught. They are from Chechnya, a region in Russia, and seem to have ties to a Russian extremist group.
