Jackson was born on January 21, 1824 in Clarksburg, Virginia.

Both his father and sister die due to typhoid fever. His sister died in 1826 and his father 2 years later in 1828.

After his training at west point, he finally graduates in 1846, 17th out of 59 students.

The first war Jackson was part of, where he was reconized for his strength and bravery. He also earned the rank of brevet major.

After the Mexican War, he was offered a proffesership in which he gladely accepted. He would then spend the next 10 years teaching natural philosophy and being an artillery instructor.

Married his wife Elinor Junkin, the daughter of Presbyterian minister Dr. George Junkin.

Jackson's wife Elinor dies in childbirth when she gives birth to a stillborn baby.

Jackson was ordered by VMI to bring the VMI cadets to battle. These cadets ended up serving under Jackson's brigade.

The First Bull Run was where Jackson earned the nickname Stonewall, when a general saw him rush his forces forward to close a gap on the enemy.

Stonewall is given leadership of the Shenandoah Valley Campaign, where he is able to show successfully defend Virginia againt large forces. His brigade earned the role of foot caverly for moving very fast and efficeint.

Battle was fought on April 30 to May 6 1863, Thomas Hooker's Forces were twice the size of Robert E. Lee. Lee and Stonewall split the forces having half the confederate force attack from behind while the other force attacked from the front. The Union forces were critically injured and forced to retreat.

Stonewall Jackson is critically injured from friendly fire. His arm is amputated so he can live, but in the end he dies from pneumonia.
