    Married Christophe Rabutin- Chantal in 1592
    She had four children with Christophe
    He unfortunatly died in hunting accident a few years later

  • Opening up Visitation Monasteries

    After her children grew up and lived on their own she dedicated her life to God and began to open up visitation monastaries

  • Turn towards helping people and meets Saint Francis De Sales

    In 1604 Jane started going out and helping people in need
    She also met Saint Francis De Sales for the first time in Dijon while he was preaching

  • Death

    Jane De Chantal died on December 13 1641, and was buried next to Saint Francis De Sales

  • Canonization

    Saint Jane De Chantal was canonized in 1767
