Susan Dunne was found in an upstairs room at her home in Lixnaw, north Kerry, this morning. The body was found by a neighbour at 10am in the bedroom of a house she shared with her son, Patrick (19).

Gardai have begun an inquiry into the murder of Susan Dunne, 50, who was found in a room in her home on Wednesday morning. Gardai have arrested a 19 year old man in the greater Listowel area in connection with the murder.

Patrick Dunne has appeared before the District Court in Kilarney County Kerry with the murder of his mother at their rural home near Listowel. Dunne, 19, will be remanded in custody until his hearing on Wednesday, Dec 4th.
