    Ptomley

    Ptomley proposed the Geocentric (Earth Centred) model of the Solar System. He believed that the Earth was orbited by the other celestial bodies (planets ad Sun).

    Nicholaus Copernicus proposed the idea of the Heliocentric (Sun-Centered) model of the solar system. The planets, including Earth, all orbit the Sun (The moon still orbits the Earth).
