    After Japan's attack on Pearl Harbour, President Roosevelt and the US Congress ofically declared war upon Japan and three days afterwards, Germany and Italy had declared war upon America.

    On the 19th of Februrary, the Japanese sent 188 planes to attack Darwin Harbour, which had been filled with Allied ships. This was the Japanese's largest bombing since the events of Pearl Harbour.
