Sigmund Freud was born in Czech Republic in a town called Príbor on 6th May 1856. He is Austrian,because in that time the Czech Republic was part of the Austrian Empire.

In 1859 the Freud family left Freiburg ( a town in Czech Republic) and they emigrated to Manchester.

In 1873 he graduated from the Matura ( the secondary school exit exam) with honors and he entered the University of Vienna at the age of 17 where he also joined the medical faculty but at first he had planned to study Law.

In 1879 he had to join the military service.

Finally, on March 30 of 1881 at 24 years old, Sigmund Freud achieved a medical degree from the University of Vienna with the qualification of "excellent" (MD).

He began his medical career at the Vienna General Hospital at the age of 25.

In October 1885, Freud went to Paris on a three-month fellowship to study with Jean-Martin Charcot, a renowned neurologist who was conducting scientific research into hypnosis.

Between January 1887 and December 1895, she gave birth to six children: Mathilde, Martin, Oliver, Ernst, Sophie and Anna. The family moved to a bigger apartment and joined them Minna (Martha's sister);

In 1890, Freud discovered the neuron.

And sadly he passed away in Hampstead, London in cause of a jaw cancer.
