    Galileo Galilei
Galilei relates to Newton because Galilei helped improve the microscope that Newton later used to develop his particle theory of light. Galileo further developed and made contributions to the telescope. He was an Italian astronomer, physicist and engineer, sometimes described as a polymath. Galileo has been called the "father of observational astronomy", the "father of modern physics", the "father of the scientific method", and the "father of modern science."
  • Antonie Philips van Leeuwenhoek

    Antonie Philips van Leeuwenhoek
Using a microscope, Leeuwenhoek established that there were forms of life that were not visible to the naked eye. Self-taught man in science, he is commonly known as "the Father of Microbiology", and one of the first microscopists and microbiologists. Made major contributions to the cell theory and microscopes.
  • Robert Hooke

    Robert Hooke
Hooke was the first to use a microscope to observe living things. He invented Hooke's law; Microscopy; Coining the word 'cell', he was an influence to Leeuwenhoek.
  • Isaac Newton

    Isaac Newton
Isaac Newton developed Newtonian mechanics and universal gravitation, he also helped aid Einstein in his research of Principle Relativity
  • Temple Grandin

    Temple Grandin
Grandin relates to Newton because the first time she became interested in all things biology and science was when she looked through the lense of a microscope. Grandin is an expert in animal restraint, handling and behavior. Her designs for animal transportation, movement and processing are used at nearly half of the meat plants in the U.S. Her experience and expertise include an emphasis on animal welfare and their rights, how their brain works, from birth to the processing plant.
