By the refleactive lenses it improved the images on telescopes and allowed you to see greater distances. -

Because of Robert Hookes inventions like the vacuum pump we can store gases like oxygen so people that need it can use it to stay alive or for putting air in tiers of a bike when it gets flat. It can be used for grilles for cooking. With knowing the important facters of storing a gass like pressure and temperature we know not to put a gas into an area with high temperature without knowing if that gass can handle the pressure or the heat. and not have it cause injury or death.
