Robert Hookes discoveries

    Robert Hooke

Eglish philosopher, architect, and polymath, was an assistant to Thomas Willis, He built vacuumpumps used by Boyles gas law experiments. Built Gregorian telescopes and wrote a book over his observations of the rotains of Mars and Jupiter. He created the pulse theory, or also known as the pulse theory, that explained how different wave lengths of light created different colors.

  • vacuum pumps

Robert Hooke and Robert Boyle invented the first funtictional air pump.by using Boyles gas law. The law like others are to explain the realtionships of pressure between gasses. There are othe laws like Charles law in 1787, Gay lussacs law in 1809. and several others. Because of this gasses could then be stored for the right temperature and pressure that is needed
  • Gregrian telescopes

Robert hooke Built the earlist Gregorian telescopes. that was a type of refleacting telescope, The Telescopes were created and named by named by James Gregory. The first relfeactive telescope was made by Issac Newton in 1668. The design of the telescope was taken from the Cassegrain telescope. The miriors for the telescope were taken from the Stewart observitory. By the refleactive lenses it improved the images on telescopes and allowed you to see greater distances.
  • contiuned point of the Robert Hookes impact

His help of building the Gergorian telescope, it helped inmprove the telescopes that we use today, they have more power, we can see father into space then we used to and helps make new discoveries about the world around us. it helped make things like mcroscopes so we can examine things closer as well.
  • Robert Hookes impact today

Because of Robert Hookes inventions like the vacuum pump we can store gases like oxygen so people that need it can use it to stay alive or for putting air in tiers of a bike when it gets flat. It can be used for grilles for cooking. With knowing the important facters of storing a gass like pressure and temperature we know not to put a gas into an area with high temperature without knowing if that gass can handle the pressure or the heat. and not have it cause injury or death.
