Strauss completed the composition of Metamorphosen, a work for 23 solo strings, in 1945. The title and inspiration for the work comes from a profoundly examining poem by Goethe. -
Death & Legacy
Richard Strauss the person that made numerous famous songs int he operah & in the orchestra. Died in September 8 in 1949 from old age in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. A few months later his wife Paula De Ahna died on May 1950 at the age of 88.
