    great briatan and france went to war over territory that is now the upper ohio river valley of north america.

    the war finally ended in 1763 with france giving up it's land east of missipi river to britian.

    to help pay for it, the british goverment passed a taxlaw called the stamp act 1765.

    in 1767, new taxes on other goods were passed so that britisn could collect more money from the colonlist.

    in 1763 a group of colonist showed their displeasure by throwing hundreds of chest of tea from a british ship into the boston harbor. this event became known as the boston tea party.

    september to october of 1774 colonial leapers met in philadelphia pennsylvania in a gathering they called the first conateintal congress.

    federlist add agreements to the consutution that would protect indiviaul rights. doing so charged the minds of enough anti federlist that, in 1788, the consutution was ratafied.
