    COBOL means Common Business-Oriented Language. It was created by the ideas of Grace Hopper. It was created for business use
  • RPG

    RPG stands for report programming generator and was created by IBM to be a alternative to punch cards.
  • BASIC

    BASIC stands for Beginner's All-purpose Symbolic Instruction Code. This was created by John G. Kemeny and Thomas E. Kurtz. It was created to be one of the simplest high-level languages.
  • LOGO

    Seymour Papert and Jean Piaget created LOGO to teach children the basics of programming
  • B

    B was born in Bell Labs by the work of Ken Thompson with help from Dennis Ritchie. This was designed for recursive non-numeric applications.

    Created by Niklaus Wirth and was used to teach structured programming.

    C was created by Dennis Ritchie. Was created to be a system programing language and would inspire other programing languages.
