    Designed by John Backus who was working for IBM. Fortran came from Formula Translating System. Fortran is good for numeric computation and scientific computing.

    Created by Charles Katz in 1957. Was made for Univac 1 and Univac 2 and was made to be better than FORTRAN.

    Was created for Mathematical notation for computer programs but quickly became realized how good it was for artificial intelligence programs. Created by John McCarthy.

    Designed for the Department of Defense. Designed by Howard Bromerg, Howard Discount, and around four more people.

    Begginers All-purpose Symbolic Instuction Code. Was created to allow more people to be able to use computers other than mathematicians and scientists.
