  • The Prophecy

King Acrisius find out from the Oracle that his daughter shall produce a son destined to kill him. To prevent this, he locks his daughter, Danae, in a bronze box sunken in the ground, for he could not kill her. The gods punish those who kill kindred, a major culture point.
  • The Birth of a Hero

Danae was beautiful. Zeus loved her, and came down to her as golden rain. This created Perseus.
  • Castaways

Still trying to save himself from the prophecy without killing his family, King Acrisius locked the two in a box and threw them into the sea, sure that they would die. Since he was not directly killing them, this was okay.
  • Forced to Adventure

The pair were saved by a local fisherman when they washed onto an island kingdom. he took them into his home and cared for them. However the island king wanted to marry Danae, as she was still beautiful, but wanted to get ride of Perseus. So he tricked him. After having no gift to present the king at a party, he vowed to bring him the head of Medusa. No man could kill Medusa. Surely this would kill Perseus.
  • Help from Olympus

Hermes and Athena came to the aid of Perseus, as no mortal could ever kill Medusa. Hermes gave a sword, Athena a shield that could also be a mirror. looking into Medusa'a eyes would turn him to stone. He then forced the Gray women to tell him how to reach the nymphs to the north for more tools. This took him to the land of the Hyperboreans. There he recieved winged sandals, a magic wallet that was always the right size, and a cap of invisibility.
  • The Murder of Medusa

She was asleep when Perseus found her, thankfully. He used the mirror shield to see them clearly. He hovered above them, looking only at his shield, and aimed a strike at Medusa's throat. With one swift stroke, he sliced of her head! He grabed the head and put it in the wallet. Then he flew to Ethiopia.
  • The Girl of His Dreams

There he found that the people were being ravaged by a serpent from the sea. The princess was being offered to it, as it was the only way to please it. It is much like the St. George and the Dragon story. Perseus slays the serpent and marries the princess.
  • The Triumphant Return

He returned home, but his mother was nowhere to be found. She was hiding from the king. Perseus used the head of Medusa to turn the cruel king and his main men into stone. He then made the fisherman who cared for him king.
  • Reconciliation?

Perseus nad his mother deceided to return to Argos to "reconcile" with King Acrisius. However, he had been driven from the cit and wasn nowhere to be found.
  • Oops!

Perseus went to Larissa to compete in an athletic competition. He threw the discus, which struck King Acrisius who was sitting in the crowd, killing him instantly
