  • 15th Ammendment Passed.

    Former slaves are given the right to vote. Also protects the voting rights of males of any race.
  • 19th Amendment passed.

    The final amendment guaranteeing woman's right to vote.
  • 23rd Amendment Passed.

    Allows voters in the District of Colombia permission to participate in Presedential elections.
  • 24th Amendment Passed

    Poll Tax banned in federal elections.
  • Voting Rights Act of 1965

    Protects the rights of minoritys voting rights. Bans the literacy test.
  • 26th Amendment Passed

    Sets minimum voting age at 18.
