    Bank Holiday

    During the first New Deal, all U.S. banks were closed to prevent further withdrawals. The closure lasted four days, and was an emergency measure. The holiday was an effort to re-incorporate stability into the financial system. This was a relief effort
  • Civilian Conservation Corps

    Civilian Conservation Corps

    This was established by Franklin D. Roosevelt as a program to face unemployment and the environmental damage from the dust bowl. this addressed relief, recovery, and reform all at once and was part of the FDR First new deal.
  • Agricultural Adjustment Administration

    Agricultural Adjustment Administration

    During the first New Deal, this event tried to restore purchasing power in America back to pre-WWI levels. The government would pay farmers to produce 30% less crops. With this put into place, crops would be more in demand and hopefully level the economy back to stability. This was a recovery program.
  • Tennessee Valley Authority

    Tennessee Valley Authority

    During the first New Deal, the Tennessee Valley authority operated in states such as Tennessee, Georgia, and Alabama. At the time, many of these areas lacked proficient electricity. To fix this, dams were built to provide hydroelectric power. This was a relief effort.

    this act encouraged national industrial recovery, and to set "codes of fair competition". these codes set set minimum wage, maximum hours and prices.This was aimed as a recovery and reform act with FDR First new deal.

    During the second New Deal, the Works Progress Administration was initiated. Millions of Americans were unemployed, so the administration created jobs for them. This was done through funding public works projects, and was a relief effort.

    Wagner Act and the National Labor Relations Boards

    it established the right of most private sector employees. to enforce it, it created the NLRB, an independent federal agency tasked with enforcing these right and overseeing labor relations. This was part of FDR second new deal as a reformed measure.

    This act was put into place during the second New Deal. It gave immediate help and healed the economy somewhat. Essentially, in this act, a fund was created to provide to those with old age, disabilities, and the act gave unemployment compensation. It was a reform effort.

    FDR's Supreme Court Packing Plan

    A proposal to add more justice to the Supreme Court, allowing him to appoint six new justice for every justice over the age of 70. the goal was to create a court that would be more favorable to his New Deal Legislation. This was framed as a reform attempt during FDR Second new deal.

    Fair Labor Standards Act

    The Fair Labor Standards Act was put into place during the second New Deal. It established all new and permanent regulations for the United States' economy. This included the establishment of child labor laws, a minimum wage, and a guarantee for one to be paid for overtime. This was a reform effort.
