On August 5th,1930 Neil Alden Amstrong was born. He was born in Wapatonka, Ohio on his Grand-parents farm.

In the year of 1932, Neil gained a passion that would change his life. He gained the love of flight and avaition. He was always farmiliar with it, he and his dad built model airplanes together and they would also go to air shows together.

In 1936 Neil and his father wen to the warren airstrip. At this place Neil made his first ever flight in an airplane.

At the age of 15, Neil took his first flying lessons. He allways wanted to be a pilot, it was his lifetime dream. In the end Neil ends up becoming an astronaught.

When neil was 27 he joined NASA. He would later serve as command pilot for Apollo 11.

Neil took part in his first space-flight on march 16 1966 in the vehicle of Gemini 8. He was the command pilot and Dave Scott flew with him.

4 Days before Neil would land on the moon. apollo 11 launched on july 16th 1969. The only purpose of this mission was to land a man on the moon, and that man was Neil Armstrong.

On July 20th 1969 1:47 pm one of the greatest moments in our history was made. Neil Armstrong took the first step on the moon. he and his other pilots placed a flag on the moon.
