James Carr was born in Southfield Michigan to his mom, Shelia Carr, and his dad, Jack Carr. He is the middle child between John Carr, the older brother, and Jennifer Carr, the youngest.

James Carr moved to San Jose Costa Rica. James went with his brother to mountain bike across the country from end to end. Unfortunately, it was during the rainy season so they encountered many adventures.

After two years of work in Costa Rica, James Carr returned to the states and began a career within corporate finance.

The home was in Belmont Massachusetts and was a two-family. The house needed extensive renovations including a new boiler, kitchen, and bathroom.

James Carr switched his career to a significantly smaller company, PlumChoice, in order to become the CFO. Prior to the switch, James held several senior finance leadership positions within larger companies, including Siebel, CA, and Akamai.

The Carr family bought Winslow, a golden doodle, from a breeder in Philadelphia. Winnie is quite the opposite of Darcy, as he hates swimming and is full of energy.

After 18 years in the same home. James and Pamela decided to add a home gym, dining room, master bedroom, and third bathroom. This addition nearly doubled the size of the house. It was completed in November.
