Humayun took advantage of the deaths of both Sher Shah Suri and his son and sucessor, Islam Shah to march his army provided by his persian allies back to India.

Humayun stops for his daily prayer in the middle of carrying books down a flught of stairs and trips. He is fatally injured and dies 3 days later.

Janhangir dies on his way back from a visit Kashmir and is succeeded by his third son, Shah Jahan.

Shah MJahan falls ill and his eldest son becomes regent for him, Dara Shikoh.

In 1659 Aurangzeb defeats Dara Shikoh and has him executed.
