    to contrast color, men in the 1950s tend to wear sport coats and casual pants, trousers, or slacks. back then the rule was to wear a textured sports coat with smooth pants or textured pants with a smooth coat. which is the same with colors, meaning patterns on top and then solid color on the bottom.

    now during the 1960s, men's everyday look consisted of slim-fit trousers. After years of loose-fitting garments, tight workout apparel made an appearance again. Men were known to wear really tight and short shorts while the ladies wore leotards and shorts.

    this is where fitness fashion took the wave. There were tracksuits for running in the winter and dolphin running shorts in summer. Not to mention, men tend to wear long tall socks with retro sneakers.

    In the '80s, the fitness went a little crazy with neon colors and splashing patterns. Wrestling singlets made taking aerobic classes trendy. As well as, windbreaker jackets were very popular for both men and women.

    From the beginning of the '90s, tracksuits become super popular, especially Adidas pr Nike popper tracksuits. To rock back in the day, it was all about style, color, and brand.

    During the 2000s, the workout clothes still remained tight and bright, but new designs came out with functional and performance purposes. It was in this decade that yoga pants and even yoga become increasingly popular. Not to mention, men were known to wear tracksuits, ribbed shirts, flip flops, and sneakers. Just something that was simple but also fashionable.
