Skłodowska moves to France in 1891, to study at the Sorbonne. Here, she changes her name and goes by "Marie". -
The Curies married on July 25th, 1895, marking the beginning of a partnership that changes science. -
Curie received her PhD in June 1903, making her the first woman in France to do so.
