They finally reach China after a three year journey. Marco Polo arrives at the capital with his father and uncle. They renew there frendship with Kublai Khan and they write to eachother. They gained important possitions in courts and learn the Chineese language. Eventually Marco is appointed as Kublai Khans envoy and as the governer of one of his cities. -

Marco is made Gentleman Commander of a Venetian Galley. His ship joins the battle of Kurzola and he os taken as prisoner of war by Genoese. He meets a writer called Rustichello of Pisa who he tells all his jouneys to. Rustichello of Pisa eventully writes a book that becomes famous in France and Switzerland. -
