Macbeth and Banquo are traveling home from the battlefield when they run into three witches who share prophecies with them. They tell Macbeth that he will be Thane of Cawdor and eventually king.

Lady Macbeth persuades Macbeth into killing Duncan. Macbeth didn't want to do it but Lady Macbeth started to question his manhood. Eventually Macbeth broke under the pressure and committed the murder.

Macbeth knows that Banquo's kids will become king so in order to stop it, he has Banquo murdered in order to stay as the king.

Macbeth has Macduff's family murdered because Macbeth knows that Macduff's loyalties are not with him.

The three witches return to tell Macbeth a few things. They show three apparitions to Macbeth. The first apparition tell Macbeth to fear Macduff. The second appartition tells Macbeth that he can't be harmed by any man "of woman born." The third apparition tells him that he will remain king until Birnam Wood comes against him.

Banquo shows up in spirit form but only Macbeth can see him. Macbeth then starts I extremely guilty about having Banquo murdered and has a freakout.

Macbeth doesn't properly prepare for the war against England. Macbeth thinks that he is fine until he hears that Birnam Wood is on his way.

Macbeth thinks that everything is ok when Macduff shows up looking for revenge. We find out that Macduff was technically not woman born. Macduff was born as a C-section baby so he was not born naturally so in a way he can kill Macbeth.

When Macduff shows up, he is looking for revenge for his family. Macduff ends killing Macbeth and beheads him.
