    Blitzkrieg is a method of warfare where on side of an army uses heavily armoured and motorised vehicles. The side using this strategy will try and break the enemy line quick and fast, so the battle will end quick. They would also have planes fly above the tanks for air support in case the tanks were being destroyed.

    Germany invades Poland without notice, kind of like a cheap shot. This was also known as the September Campaign or the 1939 Defensive War. The spark to the start of World War 2.

    Pearl Harbor
    Pearl Harbor was a naval base in Hawaii. The Japanese launched a secret attack on the U.S. that destroyed most of their navy vessels. Japan tried to do this to try to destroy the U.S. before they got involved in the war. This just made the U.S. mad and a rude awakening came to Japan.

    The Battle of Stalingrad was the largest confrontation of World War II. Germany and its allies fought the Soviet Union for control of the city of Stalingrad in Southern Russia. The Soviet Union won the battle and Russian troops have retaken the city of Stalingrad.

    The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising was the 1943 act of Jewish resistance. The Warsaw Ghetto in German-occupied Poland during World War II to oppose Nazis. An estimated 7,000 Jews perished during the Warsaw ghetto uprising, while 50,000 others who survived were sent to extermination or labor camps.

    D-Day (Normandy Invasion)
    Churchill, FDR, and Eisenhawer planed a land invasion on France. The invasion included 150,000 soldiers that would glide down on parachutes from huge airplanes or soldiers would land on the beaches in little rectangular boats. Before D-Day, the resistance blew up railroads to try and stop the response on D-Day.

    Hitler's last attempt to defeat the Allies in Europe. 600,000 Americans fought in the battle, and 80,000 were killed. 100,000 Germans were killed, and Germany lost because they ran out of fuel. Germany then surrenders and lose the war.

    One of the most glory fighting sights in World War 2. It was a fight between the U.S. and Japan. This war took place after Hitler commited suicide. 21,000 Japan soldiers were killed while 7,000 American soldiers were killed.

    Battle of Okinawa
    The Battle of Okinawa was an important battle for the U.S. This is because the U.S. was within striking distance of Japan. This battle was also known as operation Iceberg. Japan quickly lost but 14,000 U.S. soldiers were still killed in action.

    V-E Day marked the end of the war in Europe. Hitler commits suicide because he knows he will be P.O.W. and they will torture him. The Nazi regime falls and now the Americans have to defeat Japan.

    President Truman decides to drop the bomb in order to save American lives from a land invasion. After both bombs were dropped there was a lot of damage dealt. Overall 120,000 Japan people were killed

    This marks the end of the war between America and Japan. World War 2 is basically over now. Both Japan and Germany have surrenderd, and Japan and Germany will have to pay a lot of war debt for what they have done.
