Lue Gim was born in 1860 (notice how i didnt put in an exact date but this is a closest) in canton, China in a family of orange farmers.

lue returns back to his home land to see his mother, as the winters in massucsets where too much for him.

he returns back to america, planted some citrus but it was wiped out in a winter storm.

By 1888, Lue had created a new type orange which ripened in the faster and which was bright and sweet called the Lue Gim Gong orange.

he later recived a reward for is acommplisments by the Silver Wilder Medal from the USDA w/ help from his contributors for the citrus planting.

.Lue Gim Gong died in 1925 and is buried in Oakdale Cemetery in the southwest corner.
