    Lorenzo Ghiberti was admitted into the Silk and Gold Guild and starts to know what working at a job is like and how to get paid for a living.

    Lorenzo Ghiberti passes his Silk and Gold Guild Examination and becomes a master of the SIlk and Gold Guild.

    The Black Death

    In 1400, the Black Death reached Florence. Because of this, Lorenzo Ghiberti was forced to leave Florence to not catch the Black Death.

    Returning to Florence and a Competition

    Lorenzo Ghiberti returned to Florence in 1401 as the Black Death was vanquished from the city state. He immediately entered a competition in 1401 to build a pair of bronze doors (a portal) and competed against Filippo Brunelleschi and Jacopo della Quercia.
