Job was born in the valley of the Senegal where his father was a wealthy herdsman. -
In 1730, Job was sent to sell two slaves to an English slave boat. Instead when he got near his destination he decided to sell his slaves somewhere else, an area that he had been warned not to go. Ironically, after Job sold his two slaves, he got caught by slave traders himself!

After being captured, Job was sent to Maryland in America where he worked in a Tobacco farm as a slave.

In despair, Job ran away until he got caught and imprisoned. Whilst in jail he wrote a letter in Arabic to a friend which got sent to an English scholar who was interested in him

After becoming friends and earning the respect of many influential men, Job makes one final request, to be sent home.

After returning home, Job begins to settle down and restart a family, free from harm and slavery.
