German Defeat at Stalingrad
Hitler wanted to invade Russia, so he ordered to invade Stalingrad. It was a brutal and bloody battle, but7 Russia was able to hold off Germany. This led to Germany surrendering troops for the first time. Russia won. -

On September 3, 1943, Italy secretly signed a document to surrender in the War. The anouncement was made publicly on September 8. (five days later) -

This is when we invade Okinawa. We wanted Okinawa so we could bomb Japan. It was a 82 day battle and Japan was very resellient. Japan surrendered though because of the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. -

The battle of Berlin is when Berlin split into two and we had to help Berlin by giving supplies and stuff. WE won the war too. -
Death of Hitler
Hitler knew he had lost the war. So, he fled into his bunker, and had shot himself. He also had poisoned his dog and wife. He comitted suicide so he wouldn'e be captured. -
Death of Mussolini
Mussolini had tried to escape Italy, but his own Men caught him and killed him. -
VE Day
VE day, is the day that the war in Europe was over. It was also the day when the allies won the war. -
Bombing of Hiroshima
America wanted to bomb Japan for a couple reasons. One reason is for payback, another reason is to show how powerful we are, and lastly it was to show to the other mayjor powers to not mess with us. -
Bombing of Nagasaki
3-4 Days later we bombed Nagasaki. This was important because it caused Japan to surrender the war. -
Japan Surrenders
Japan had surrendered after we had bomb Nagasaki. It was an incredible victory for America.
