    Scientific Shakedown
Laudan, an American philosopher and professor is well known for his early work laid out in his book "Progress and Its Problems". Within it, Laudan opposed Popper and Kuhn's empiricism and revolutionism holding true to the idea that science has an ever-changing method behind it and that empirical confirmation does not make it the superior methodology to science. Although Laudan opposed two mainstream methods, he was not viewed as radical to the likes of Feyerabend.

In 1984, Laudan released another ground breaking book "Science and Values". In his book, Laudan showed the world his reticulated model and with that, stating that observational and theoretical claims don't not always change together to make what Kuhn referred to as a "revolution". His reticulated model was an interesting topic for many since a lot of the principles of his new model rejected and argued the ideas that based the writing of his earlier book in 1977.
