    John Dupre was born in Pembury, Kent, England on July 3rd 1952.

    Dupre obtained his bachelor's degree from oxford university along with his Doctor of Philosophy from Cambridge University. He is a philosopher of science and is currently serving as the director of Egenis (the Centre for the Study of life Sciences) and also works as a professor of philosophy at the university of Exeter.
