Even in their old age, Abraham and Sarak have a son. They name him Issac. He will later recieve Abraham's blessing.

Isaac's father Abraham takes him to a mountain to sacrifice him to God. However, just as Abraham is about to kill his son, God prevents it and spares Isaac's life. This showed that Abraham had faith and would even give his only son to God.

Abraham's servant finds a wife for Issac. Rebekah believes in God, and that is why she is suitable for Isaac. Isaac and Rebekah love each other.

Rebekah has twin sons, and Esau is born first. Jacob is born grabbing Esau's heel. Before they are born, God comes to Rebekah to say that the twins would always be fighting.

Esau has just come from hunting, and he is starving. Jacob is making soup, and Esau wants some, so they make a deal. He gives Jacob his birthright in exchange for stew.

While Issac is out hunting, Jacob puts goat skin on his arms and neck and prepares meat for his father. Isaac can no longer see very well, so he thinks Jacob is Esau. Issac blesses his son Jacob. When Esau comes back, he and Issac find out what Jacob did.

Jacob leaves his home because he fears that Esau will kill him for stealing the birthright and blessing. His mother Rebekah tells him to leave. He goes to his Uncle Laban's home in Haran.

While on the way to his uncle Laban's home, Jacob stays at a place to rest. He dreams of angels climbing up and down a stairway to heaven, and also that God blesses him and his descendants. Jacob calls the place Bethel.

While at Laban's house, Jacob makes a deal with his uncle. He loves Laban's daughter Rachel, so he agrees to work seven years for her. After the seven years have passed, Laban tricks Jacob. Jacob marries Leah when he means to marry Rachel. Jacob is angry and upset, so Laban lets Jacob marry Rachel for seven more years of work.

Jacob's flocks have increased, and Laban is angry about this. Jacob and his wives flee, and Laban pursues and catches up to them. He and Jacob make a covenant that they will not harm each other.

Jacob and his brother meet. Jacob is fearful that Esau will harm him and be angry, but his brother is not mad. Esau and Jacob hug because they missed each other.

Rachel dies while she is having her second child, who is named Benjamin. Isaac lives to be 180 years old. His sons Jacob and Esau bury him.
