Abraham and Sarah had tried for a child for several years, to no avail. God promised a child for Abraham and Sarah, but that was decades ago. They had almost given up hope, but then Isaac was born. The promise was fufilled, and Isaac's life began.

God told Abraham that Isaac would need to be sacrificed back to him. He was reluctant at first, but went to the mountain because of his great faith. In the end, Isaac was saved because Abraham passed the test.

Sarah lived many years, and then she died. Isaac was extremely distressed, and was sad for several weeks. The only thing that brought Isaac out of his sorrow was meeting his future wife, Rebekah.

Isaac was very sad after the death of his mother, and when his servant brought out Rebekah to him, it brought him out of his sadness. They eventually fall in love and marry. His sadness is overcome with the joy of being married.

Abraham was very old, and he had lived a very long and fufilling life to God. He died, and his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried their father, and that was the last time the brothers were ever together again documented in the Bible. This saddened Isaac, because he now had neither of his parents left on earth.

Isaac and Rebekah decide they want some children. They become pregnant and have twin boys. Esau is the oldest, the first twin born, and then Jacob is the second. Isaac loved Esau, and Rebakah loved Jacob.

Esau, being the oldest, had the birthright. But Jacob wanted the birthright, and Rebekah thought that it belonged to Jacob. Jacob prepared a stew, and Esau wanted some, but Jacob said that in order to be fed, that Esau would need to give him his birthright. Esau does give in and sells the birthright to Jacob.

Isaac was old, and couldn't see well. He decided that he needed to bless his son, Esau, before he dies. Rebekah had hatched the plan that Jacob would decieve Isaac for the birthright, anf it worked. Jacob recieved the blessing and kept it, but it was given decietfully. Jacob then runs away because Esau threatens to kill him.

Jacob woked for a man named Laban. He wanted to marry Laban's daughter, Rachel. The agreement was that Jacob would work for Laban for 7 years, and he would be given Rachel as his wife. However, Laban conned Jacob into working for him another 7 years, by giving him LEah as his wife first. Then after the second 7 years were up, Jacob married Rachel.

At first, Rachel was barren, and Leah concieved four sons, which she praised the Lord for. Rachel was envious of her sister, and gave Jacob two more women as his wives so she could have children through them. Eventually, Rachel concieved and bore Jacob children.

Jacob, after fleeing from Laban, tries to make up with his brother for stealing the birthright. He gives some of his animals to Esau, but he is scared Esau won't accept them. He prays to God that Esau will accept the gifts and forgive him for what he did.

Esau was coming toward Jacob, and he had four hundred men with him. Jacob lined up his servants, wives, and children to protect them. But when Esau saw Jacob, he ran to him and embraced him and they wept. Esau was not angry at Jacob, and Jacob was thankful for that.
