  • Discovery of Electricity

The harnessing of electricity was a long process that had many contributors. However Benjamin Franklin is recognised as responsible after his discovery in 1752. In 1791, Luigi Galvani published knowlede in bioelectromagnetics. Alessandro Volta's produced a attery that encouraged further Innovation. Hans Christian Ørsted and André-Marie Ampère recognised electromagnetism and Michael Faraday invented the electric motor in 1821. Further understanding was shared by Albert Einstein and George Ohm.
  • Industrial Revolution 1760-1830

The Industrial Revolution was the period of transition in which rural/agricultural societies in Europe and America became industrial and urban due to innovation of manufacturing processes. It lasted from around 1760 to 1830.
  • Invention of Steam Engine

The first commercially successful piston steam engine was created by Thomas Newcomen, in 1712. However the invenvention is merited towards James Watt who drastically improved the design in 1781 and made it truly able to complete mechanical work.
  • First Manufactured Camera

The first partially successful photograph of a camera image was made in approximately 1816 by Nicéphore Niépce. After his death, his partner Louis Daguerre continued to experiment and by 1837 had created the first practical photographic process, which he named the daguerreotype and publicly unveiled in 1839.
  • Invention of the Telephone

The invention of the telephone is the culmination of work done by many individuals, between the years 1844 to 1898. The first successful bi-directional transmission of clear speech was completed on March 10, 1876 by Alender Bell.
  • Invention of Digital Clock

The first digital pocket watch was the invention of Austrian engineer Josef Pallweber who created his "jump-hour" mechanism in 1883. he earliest patent for a digital alarm clock was registered by D.E Protzmann and others on October 23, 1956, in the United States.

German inventor Karl Benz is credited for designing and manufacturing the first automobile which he patented "Benz Patent-Motorwagen."
  • Eiffel Tower Opened to Public

The Eiffel Tower was designed and built by Gustave Eiffel as the entrance to the paris 1889 World Fair. For the next 40 years after being build it was the tallest building in the world.
  • First aeroplane to take flight

After many years of time devoted to designing and trialling differnet meodels and ideas, Orville and Wilbur Wright made the first successful flight of a self proppeled aircraft. The flight lasted for 12 seconds as Orville flew the gasoline-powered plane near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
  • Stainless Steel Creation

Harry Brearley from the UK, discovered the correct ratio of different elements to create an alloy that would not rust.
  • Invention of Polyester

The British scientists John Whinfield and James Dickson first invented polyester cloth in 1941 in England.
  • Invention of 3D Printing

In 1881 Hideo Kodama of Nagoya Municipal Industrial Research Institute invented a system for generating three-dimensional objects by creating a cross-sectional pattern of the object to be formed. However the invention is credited to Chuck Hull when he used most of this technology but rather changed the file format.
  • Establishment of WI-FI

In 1997, Vic Hayes created the internet standard needed for wifi although, the CSIRO is acknowledged as the inventors of a patent that was responsible for Wifi. Radio-astronomer Dr John O'Sullivan and his colleagues are internationally recognised for revolutionising the internet.
  • Release of First Apple Ipod

The iPod is a line of portable media players and multi-purpose pocket computers designed and marketed by Apple Inc.
