Mary Mallon (Typhloid Mary)

Period: Jan 1, 1900 to Jan 1, 1907

Killed one but injured several by purposefully spreading Typhoid. Was immune to Typhoid.

Edward "Ed" Gein

Period: Jan 1, 1947 to Jan 1, 1957

Skinned his victims, exhumed corpses, and decorated his home with parts of his victims’ bodies. Human skin was used to make dust bins, furniture, and even clothes.

John Wayne Gacy

Period: Jan 1, 1972 to Jan 1, 1978

Bound, raped, and killed by asphyxiation at least 24 boys. Possibly suffered from split personality disorder.

Ted Bundy

Period: Jan 1, 1974 to Jan 1, 1976

Infamous for his luring tactics, he raped and killed 40 women. Blamed it on pornography.

David Berkowitz (Son of Sam)

Period: Jan 1, 1976 to Jan 1, 1977

Infamous for his media manipulation, he killed six women. Schizophrenia could have some play.

Jeffery Dahmer

Period: Jan 1, 1978 to Jan 1, 1991

Targeted mainly boys of Asian or African Descent. His murders involved torture, forced sodomy, dismemberment, necrophilia, and cannibalism.

Gary Ridgway (The Green River Killer)

Period: Jan 1, 1982 to Jan 1, 1984

Raped and killed prostitutes, convicted for 48 counts but confesses to 71. Most prolific killer in the US and was caught with the assistance of Ted Bundy.
