This was an invasion of china by japan in which japan killed around 300000 people in china's capital. it happened because japan needed more resources. the effects were japan gained resources to aid its war effort and china was in a very sad state.

Process in which America made all japanese people living in america live in internment camps in order to ensure they did not hurt america in any way. It happened because America was paranoid of traitors in the japanese population of America. the effects were entire families were uprooted and possible america stopped any opposition from inside its own country.

Large march in which the japanese force around 75000 filipino and american troops to march to prison camps. it happened because america lost the peninsula of baatan and had to surrender to the japanese. the effects were hundreds of people died and japanese gained a foothold.

one of the most influential naval battles of wwII was won by america against the japanese. it happened because america found and broke a code by the japanese to ambush us aircraft carriers and preemptively attacked them. because of the win america gained an offensive position in order to fight the japanese.

largest battle in the war in which soviet russia overcame and beat back the german advance on stalingrad. it happened because the soviets were tired of losing land to germany and so they defended their homeland. the effects were the war turned more into the alliees favor as now germany had a two front war.

the US project to make an atom bomb. it happened because america wanted a superior weapon to the entire worlds arsenal so it could utterly destroy its enemies and defend itself. the effects were a devastating bomb that ended the war between the US and japan.

largest amphibious invasion ever, US British and Canadian troops attacked the beach of normandy to uproot the german defenses and trap germany in its own country to end the war. it happened because the us britain and canada needed to stop germany. the effects were germany was stuck in its own country fighting a two front war, meaning the war was nearly over.

last fight in the pacific between the US and Japan. it happened because the US was trying to obtain and keep airbases vital to the invasion of Japan. the effects were large losses on both sides but an US victory.

this is a day in which europe celebrates the end of the war and the defeat of germany. it happened because we defeated germany, and everyone was excited enough to create a holiday. the effects were happiness all around the globe and the signification of the end of the war.

Dropping of the Atomic Bombs

Aug 6, 1945

dropping of the first ever atomic bomb on japan by the US. it happened because the US needed to defeat japan and knew it wouldnt end without lots of bloodshed, so they decided to make it the enemies blood. the effects were possibly the reason the cold war started and hundreds of thousands died in japan. the war was also ended after the second ever atomic bomb was dropped.

this is the holiday signifying the defeat of japan. it happened because japan surrendered to the US. the effects were the end of the war and happiness and peace around the world.
