  • Nazis take the Sudetenland

    Hitler wanted to take Czechoslovakia to be a part of Germany but there armed forces were too strong .He called a meeting with Germany, Britain, France and Italy , therefore increasing the possibility of reaching an agreement and undermine the solidarity that was developing against Germany. On September 29th 1938 , A. Hitler, N. Chamberlain, Edouard Daladier and B. Mussolini signed the Munich Agreement which transferred the Sudetenland to Germany. Then hitler marched into there and took power.
  • The Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact

    In 1939 the USSR and the soviet union signed ,you could say, peace treaty called molotov- Ribbentrop pact which said no violence between them and that we can export goods. It had 7 articles and the treaty was set for 10 years.this was signed because some arguments were happening and they wanted to stay at peace so they signed it.

    One of Adolf Hitler's first major foreign policy initiatives after coming to power was to sign a nonaggression pact with Poland in January 1934. . they signed a pact called German-soviet pact stating that if they attacked Poland they wouldn’t have to worry about the soviet union attacking them.

    It was an attack to hit France, also Denmark and Norway. It was designed to hit hard and move on instantly. Blitzkrieg means "lightning war". They used dive bombers to blow up railroads so there was no form of communtication.

    This battle was and aircraft battle between the Germans and the British over great britains airspace. The battle lasted from july 1940 to may 1941. Heaviest battle was from july to October. The germans tried to bomb on places in britain but failed . theyre forces were strong.
  • The Nazi invasion of soviet union.

    Hitler decided to attack the Soviet Union. He signed the first operational order for the invasion of the soviet union called directive 21. Codename “Barbosa”. Despite catastrophic losses in the first six weeks of the war, the Soviet Union failed to collapse as anticipated by the Nazi leadership and the German military commanders. They wanted to take over the soviet union but they would not fall and the war lead into winter.
  • Pearl harbor

    On December 7th 1941 , a Japanese plane flew over the U.S. naval base in Hawaii. 360 planes followed. A total of 2,400 Americans were killed and 1,200 were wounded, many while valiantly attempting to repulse the attack. The attack was unexpected because no alarm was sounded to warn the military. A lot of there machinery was useless.

    The Wannsee Conference was held on 20 January 1942. They meet up in a villa in a berlin suburb . "Final Solution of the Jewish Question." Is what they tried to answer . they wanted to get rid of all the European Jews. It was a plan for mass murder.
  • Stalingrad

    It was a turning point in WW2 for Europe. The Battle for Stalingrad was fought during the winter of 1942 to 1943. In September 1942, the German commander of the Sixth Army, General Paulus, assisted by the Fourth Panzer Army, advanced on the city of Stalingrad. In early September 1942, the German Army advanced to the city. The Russians, already devastated by the power of Blitzkrieg during Operation Barbarossa, had to make a stand especially as the city was named after the Russian leader,Joseph S.

    On November 8, 1942, the military forces of the United States and the United Kingdom launched an amphibious operation against French North Africa. American strategic thinking in early 1942 aimed at defeating Nazi Germany before turning to the problems that a flood of Japanese conquests and victories were raising in the Pacific.

  • Normandy invasion

    It was in invasion in Normandy it was part of operation overlord it happened on june 6 1944. The u.s., u.k. Canada and France attacked the Germans. It was the largest amphibious operation ever to take place.
  • VE day

    March 7th 1945. Western allies crossed the rhine after getting through the Siegfried line and overran west germany. Germany was surrendered.
  • Liberation of concentration camps

    On 29 April 1945 u.s. Allies freed jews from concentration camps. Specifically dachau, it was the first concentration camp to be constructed by the Nazis and one of the last to be closed.

    On december 19th the german army launched a counteroffensive that would cut through the allied forces to put it in hitlers favor.
