    Aristotle(BC)

Aristotle did not believe in the atomic theory. He believed that all matter was made of the four elements. He did not have any proof of his theory. He did not have a model

    Democritus(BC)

    Democritus(BC)
He thought that at some point, after breaking matter in half, you will come to a smallest possible bit of matter. His method was using thoughts. His model looked like a round-sphere.
  • Dalton

    Dalton
He formed the atomic theory, which states all matter is composed of tiny, indestructible particles called atoms. He reasearched gases. He created the atomic theory.
  • Thomson

    Thomson
He discovered the electron. His method was using Cathode ray experiments( fired electircal currents through glass pipes pipes filled with low-density gas.His model was called the Rasin in the pudding model or the plum-pudding model.
  • Rutherford

    Rutherford
He discovered the nucleus. He believed that the atom had a positive nucleus with negative elctrons orbiting it. His model was the planetary system model. He also performed the gold foil experiement.
  • Bohr

    Bohr
Stated that electrons moved around the nucleus in large orbits. He used experiments on hydrogen to to make his discovery. He made the Planetary/ Bohr Atomic Model.
  • Heisenburg and Schrodinger

    Heisenburg and Schrodinger
Heisinberg- Principle says you can't measure current position of a particle.
Schrodinger- equation for the reason electrons move when within an atom.
They had the electronic cloud model.using mathematical equations.
