    Aristotle

Aristotle was a famous philosopher and had some views on the Atomic theory. He thought the Atomic theory was wrong. His idea was that all matter was made of the elements water, fire, earth and air. The fact that he was more popular than Democritus caused Democritus`s theory to be dismissed for about 2,000 years.
  • John Dalton

His atomic theory stated that elements were made of atoms and that elements are all different from each other because they have different mass. He also thought that atoms in an element all had the same mass and were identical. He thought that chemical reactions were the rearranging of atoms.
