In 1951 Libya became a country. It was called Kingdom of Libya. King idris was the first and last king to rule in Libya.

While Idris was in turkey under treatment. Gaddafi convinced the army to go capture king Idris. Then he was sent to Eygpt to be in court and was put to a death sentance.

Idris died at the Sultan Palace . he was 94 when he died. He was buried at Jannat al-Baqi, Medina, Saudi Arabia.
