    Water clocks

    Water clocks were invented by the greeks to measure the hourly time at night. This "water Clock" was 2 stone buckets, 1 on top of the other. The one on top would drip water through a small hole at the bottom. The bottom bucket had lines drawn in it to measure the water collected. By measuring how much water driped out in an hour, they could roughly predict an hour.

    The first water wheel was invented by the egyptions. The wheel would be half submegered in a river or stream and would catch water in its buckets which would later be used for irrigation.
