    By 1910 the nickelodeon theaters got so popular they were attracting more than 26 million viewers a week and had theaters all over the place

    Thomas Edison decided to take ove rthe film business so h crated the motion picture patents company (MPPC) and they took out the independent movie companies by roughing them up everytime they tied to make a movie

    they used to only make movies on the east coast because thats where they originated from but that chaged becaus ethe weather in the east coast didnt match up to the standards of the producers and the independent movie companies were farther away from the MPPC and could do what they wanted
