Great Gatsby Timeline

  • Gatsby and Daisy meet

    Gadspy and Daisy met and almost instantly fell in love. They spent all the time they could together before Gatsby had to leave to fight in WWI.
  • Daisy meets Tom Buchanan and they get married

    While Gatsby was fighting in WWI, Daisy and Tom Buchanan started to date and they eventually got engaged.
  • Returned from the war

    When Gatsby finally returned from the war, he had inharited a large sum of money and was very rich. He made it back just in time to see that Daisy had not waited for him and had a husbend now.
  • Gatsby moves to west egg

    Gatsby's heart refused to quit onDaisy. He bought an extravagant mantion just actoss the lake from Tom and Daisy's house. He then proceded to hold huge parties, hoping that eventually, Daisy would stumble into his house.
  • Gatsby meets Nick Carraway

    Nick Carraway is Gatsby's new neighbor. Nick is also the narrator of the story and happened to know Daisy. Gatsby became very intrested in Nick, as he thought that he could led Daisy to him.
  • Nick introduces Gatsby to Daisy

    Gatsby convinved him to have Daisy over for tea one day but little did she know that he had only invited her over to see Gatsby and reunite their love.
  • The group goes to New Yourk City

    Daisy, Tom, Gatsby, Nick, and some others decided to go to New Yourk City one hot day. Tempers were high, for Tom knew that Daisy was cheating on him with Gatsby but Tom also was cheating on Daisy with another woman.
  • Tom's mistres is killed

    On the way back from New Yourk City, Gatsby and Daisy were riding in Gatsby's yellow car, when all of the sudden Toms mistress jumps out in the road and is hit and killed by Daisy. Gatsby taked the blame though asnd says that he was driving causing the husbend of Tom's mistriss to seek revenge.
  • Gatsby shot and killed

    A day after the attack on Tom's mistriss, Gatsby is going for a swim when a man with a loaded gun comes up to him and shoots him, killing him in the pool. Then, the man proceded to turn the gun on himself, taking his own life as well.
