Gatsby Meets Cody

Gatsby borrowed a rowboat, in Lake Superior, and rowed out to the Tuolomee and told Dan Cody about a harsh wind approching in about a half an hour.

Gatsby leaves with Cody

Gatsby leaves with Dan Cody on the Tuolomee for the West Indies and the Barbary Coast. It lasted about 5 years and they travled the continent 3 times.

Dan Cody Dies

A week after Ella Kaye came on board the Tuolomee in Boston, Dan Cody dies. Cody leaves $25,000 to Gatsby, but Ella ends up getting all of it.
