Mob violence erupted at several ports and many colonists supported a boycott of English goods. On March 5, 1770, British troops in Boston fired on a crowd, killing five people. Which is why it became known as the Boston Massacre.

A group of men, disguised as Native Americans, got on three tea ships in Boston Harbor. They broke open the chests and dumped the ships cargo into the sea to protest British control of the tea trade.

States bickered and grew jealous ans suspicious of one another. They started to refuse to support New Central Government. States taxed one anothers goods and even banned some trade. Economic chaos spread through the colonies. These events became known as "Shay's Rebellion."
