Magna Carta
The Magna Carta was written to establish basic rights the the people under the king's rule. The document was written by the baronss of the land who built up a rebellion and made the king sigh the treaty. -

The Petition of Right is a major English Constitution on the Parlament not having a right to heavy taxes. King Charles forced his way pased parlemnt to get loans on a war effort which made people push back making the Petition of Right -
English Bill of Rights
The english bill of rights is a document that was created by the people who were tired of the king's rules and wanted more rights. It limited the kings power and gave the people better rights. -
Albany Plan of Union
The Albany Plan of Union was a propasl to create unifid goverment. It was suggested by Benjamin Franklin who was a leader of the concept. -
Boston Massacre
This event was the start of the war, aslo known as the shot around the world. Though not many people died it was a massive event in the start of the war. -
Boston Tea Party
The Boston Tea Party happened because of THE tea act that happened earlier in the year. The people had had enough and decided to dress up like indians and throw tea into the harbor. -
First Continental Congress
The First Continental Congress Was a meeting that had 12 of the first colonies had attened. They discused options on what to do about the king and what was next to be boycotted. -
The Second Contintal Congress
The Second Contintal Congress was held because the first one didn't go as well. They had delagtes from all colonies and they got to work on the war at hand. -
Declaration of Independence
The Declaration of Independence was created to express the peoples freedoms and new laws. It was a freedom that they pushed to acheve and planned to win the war over. -
Articles of Confederation
The Articles of Confederation was adopted by congress to serve as the first consitiution. THe document was forced into efeect until something better was made up. -
Shay's Rebellion
Shay's Rebellion was an armed uprising of the people. It is believed this event is waht changed the start of the US. -
Virginia Plan
The Virgina plan was a porposal by Virginia to have a bicameral legislative branch. It was drafted my James Madison whiled he waited for people to assimble. -
Philadelphia Convention
The Philadelphia Convention was held to adress problems going on in the US the involved independence from Great Britain. The goal wa s to create a new goverment that was better then the curent broken one. -
The New Jersey plan
The New Jersey plan was a porposal of a new structure of the US goverment. The plan was created in response to the Virgina plan which called for two houses.
