        Gordon James Ramsay was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1966. He was raised in Stratford-upon-avon, England. His first love was soccer. He had high hopes in a professional sports career. Age 15, he joined Glasgow Rangers which is a pro club. - 
  
  
        After ending his career of soccer with a knee injury, Ramsay returned to college to get a degree for hotel managment. -

  Gordon Ramsay was head chef of a newly opened Aubergine in London. He earned the restaurant a 2 star rating. Ramsay was awarded Newcomer of the year award at the Prestigious Catey Awards. Similar to Oscar awards but hotel and restaurant business.
