    Pickett was dispatched to San Juan Island in accordance to a dispute going on between American farmers and the Hudson's Bay Company. After a pig was shot and killed, (belonging to the Company) an arguement over territorial boundaries began. Pickett and his men held their ground to prevent the British from landing on the shore. After some time, both sides send a representative for a peaceful solution on the killed pig and boundaries.

    Jacksons brigade became known as "Virginia's First Brigade". The brigade and General Thomas J. Jackson earned the nickname "Stonewall". The Union retreats back to Washington D.C, and Jackson recieves a promotion to a higher command.

    Jackson and his brigade became the left wing of Joseph E. Johnstons Army of Northern Virginia. His only defeat during the Civil War was at the First Battle of Kernstown on March 25th. Charles S. Winder worked with Jackson to win in the Eastern Theater, and Jacksons calvery became known as "Jackson's Foot Calvery" for their long marches.

    Jacksons brigade helped back up Lee's army in the Seven Days War. During the Battle of Cedar Mountain, General Winder was killed, leaving Jackson to win the battle with the help of his brigade. Jackson went on to fight in the Iron Brigade, the Maryland Campaign, and the Battle of Antietam with Colonel Andrew J. Grigsby.

    Jackson works together with Isaac R. Trimble for a flanking movement against the Union. Jackson was also wounded accidently by a fellow Confederate, taking 1 bullet to his right hand, and 2 bullets to left arm.The men of his brigade took revenge in what happened to their leader, even though the firing was completely accidental. On July 1st, they participated in the first battle day of Gettysburg. They fought 2 days on Culps Hill.

    When Pickett charged the Union, over 50% of his men were killed or wounded. Pickett was unharmed when he fell back with the surviving remainder of his army. Many citizens found this to be suspicious, and Pickett recieved tough critisism over whether his decision to charge was the proper thing to do or not.

    The brigade fought at the Battle of the Wilderness, being the left flank named "The Bloody Angle". After a massive and grueling fight, Jacksons brigade was seperated in battle and the surviving members of the brigade were put into a small regiment to continue on with the future battles. The remaining regiment ended up fighting alongside William Terry's brigade up until the Appomattox Court House surrender.

    Picketts battle career slowly declined. Pickett lost the Battle of Five Forks, forcing Robert E. Lee to evacuate Richmond, Virginia, toward the Appotmattox Court House. It was a humilating loss to Pickett, for while his troops were fighting for their lives, he was enjoying a shad (fish) bake 2 miles away with a couple of Generals.

    Pickett forms his final battle line with the Army of North Virginia. He surrenders with Lee's army within the Appomattox Court House and become under parol.

    Death of George Pickett
    George Pickett passed away in Norfolk, Virginia. He was diagnosed with scarlet fever, and was 50 years old when he died. His burial was at Hollywood Cemetery in Richmond, Virginia.
