Frida Kahlo is born Magdalena Carmen Frieda Kahlo y Calderón in Coyoacan, Mexico. -
Bus Accident
Frida and her boyfriend, Alejandro Gomez Arias, get onto a bus to head home from school. Shortly afterwards, the bus is stuck broadside by a tram. Frida sustains multiple injuries, a broken pelvic bone, spinal column, and other severe injuries, leading doctors to doubt whether she would survive. She spends the next several months in bed recovering from the accident. -
Diego
Frida becomes the third wife of a much older Mexican artist, Diego Rivera. -
San Francisco
Frida and Diego move to San Francisco when Diego is commissioned to paint murals in the Luncheon Club of the San Francisco Stock Exchange and the California School of Fine Arts. -
Mexico
Diego and Frida move back to Mexica and live in the famous La Casa Azul, or Blue House. -
Trotsky
On January 9th, Leon Trotsky and his wife, Natalia Sedova, arrive in Mexico, to seek refugee with Kahlo and Rivera. Trotsky and Kahlo develop a secret relationship. -

Frida has her first exhibit in Galeria de Arte with several other paintings, four of her's are included. -
Solo Exhibit
Frida Kahlo travels to New York for her fist solo show. -
Divorce
While in Paris, Frida and Diego's marriage deteriorated which lead to a divorce. -
Remarriage
While in San Franscisco, the two rekindled and remarried. -
Frida Dies
